Ballet
This beginner Ballet class will introduce your child to the basic fundamentals of ballet. Children will learn body coordination, simple movement, and creativity. Students will learn body awareness, ballet positions and discipline. Maximum of 12 students.

Competition Cheer
The Irwindale Recreation Department is pleased to announce that we will be taking registration beginning July 26th for the 2021-2022 cheerleading season. It is our goal to provide a fun, safe and exciting environment for our cheerleaders. This team will perform at various cheer competitions throughout Southern California.

Competition Munchkin Cheer - Cancelled
It's time to let your little ones shine! Children ages 4-6 can learn the basics of cheerleading and perform in local competitions as well as make new friends and have loads of fun!

Karate
Youth aged 5 to 12 are welcome to join this beginner Karate class. Participants should dress comfortably on the first day of class. Instructor will inform parents if a uniform is required.

Kidzone 2022-2023
The Kidzone program is the perfect place for Irwindale youth to spend their after school hours. Staff will be on hand to participate in daily activities which include arts and crafts, homework help, library programs, indoor and outdoor activities and much more.

Ready Set Dance
This fun and upbeat class is designed to create an energetic environment where kids can pick up on choreography fast, learn new dance styles, and express themselves to their favorite songs. Join us for a rhythmic Winter! Open to children ages 7 - 12. Maximum of 12 participants.

Tap/Jazz
Welcome to the world of Tap and Jazz dancing. We will engage your child in age-appropriate dance, while learning rhythm, posture, coordination and balance through a fun, structured class. Open to children ages 4 - 12. Maximum of 12 participants.

Teeny Tots
We are pleased to offer a program for the teeniest of tots. Our Teeny Tots program, a Parent and Me style class, will help you interact with your child in a fun classroom setting. There will be a wide variety of activities including circle time, imaginative play, hands on art and other fun activities to help you and your child learn and play together.

Tiny Tots
Children will enjoy songs, stories, crafts, manipulatives, social interaction and self expression. There will be lots of activities that the children will enjoy. It is sure to be a fun-filled summer. Children MUST be potty trained to enroll. A minimum of 6 students must be registered for this class to begin. Maximum of 12 participants.

Canvas Kids - Coming Soon!
Our Canvas Kids will have the opportunity to create a one of a kind piece of art on canvas each week. Watch their skills grow and flourish by the end of this course. This class is open to children ages 7-12.

Cupcake Cuties - Coming Soon!
Students will enjoy learning the art of decorating cupcakes. Students can then eat and enjoy their cupcakes at home. This class is open to children ages 7 - 14.

In this flag football clinic, your child will develop the fundamental skills for recreational flag football and will have a chance to play scrimmage games.

Pint Sized Picassos - Coming Soon!
Our Pint Sized Picassos will create their own masterpieces using a wide range of quality art materials. Watch their art skills grow and flourish by the end of this course. PLEASE NOTE: This class is a Parent and Me class. Parents are required to come to class and help your little ones create their masterpieces. This class is open to children ages 3 - 6.

Virtual Cooking Adventures - Coming Soon!
Does your child want to help out in the kitchen? If so, this class is a perfect fit! Children will have fun in the kitchen while learning how to make fun, kid friendly foods. Parent help and participation may be required. This class is instructed via Zoom. Participants should have access to a computer, laptop or smartphone with audio/visual capabilities. Class is open to children ages 6-13. A minimum of 6 students must be registered for this class to begin. Class is limited to the first 15 sign ups.

SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM
The City of Irwindale in partnership with Covina-Valley Unified School District is pleased to announce that we are participating in the USDA Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children, 18 years of age and under, FREE of charge. Join us daily in the Bus Picnic Area at Irwindale Park for a nutritionally balanced lunch. Menus are available at the Dan Diaz Recreation Center and on the web at www.irwindaleca.gov
Acceptance and participation requirements for the program are the same for all, regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, age or disability. In this class, students will learn how to channel into a visual medium as well as learn the fundamentals of art and apply it to their own personal style. By the end of this class, students will be able to create and design their own characters, scenes from reference or imagination. Open to children ages 8 - 12. This class requires a minimum of 6 students to be registered for the class to begin. Maximum of 16 participants.

Summer Cheer Clinic
Are you ready to stand up and cheer the day away?! Youth ages 7-13 will the opportunity to learn basic skills in our 2022 Summer Cheer Clinic. At this time there are no cheer competitions scheduled, this is a cheer conditioning class. (subject to change in accordance with the LA County Public Health Department)
Summer Day Camp
The Irwindale Recreation Department has planned a fun-filled summer for children in our Summer Day Camp. Summer Day Camp is open to Irwindale Residents between the ages of 7-12.
Summer Karate

Summer Volleyball Clinic
Youths ages 10-17 years old will have the opportunity to learn basic skills in our 2021 Summer Volleyball Clinic. Classes will be offered at the outdoor volleyball court behind the picnic shelter. This class will take place in person. Participants are required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
Summer Wiffle Ball & T-ball
Boys and girls can enjoy the summer at the Alfred H. Herrera Memorial Softball Field. Teams will be formed at every session for this "drop-in" program. All participants MUST be pre-registered in order to participate. PLEASE NOTE: this is NOT a league type program.
