Youth Runner Includes IPD on his "Thanks For Your Service" Run

We are honored to have 11-year-old world record holder Jordan Ramirez visit the police station Saturday morning, October 31, 2020, as part of his "Thank You For Your Service" run.

Jordan began his run early that morning at the Covina Police Department before moving on to the Irwindale Police Department. IPD patrol cars then escorted Jordan to the Azusa Police Department. He finished his run at the Glendora Police Department.

While at IPD, Jordan presented a nice plaque to Irwindale Police Chief Ty Henshaw to show support and thanks for our first responders.

The young runner made history last year by becoming the youngest person ever to run marathons on all seven continents.

Jordan and his father, Dimas Ramirez, started Jordan's appreciation runs to support and thank first responders and military personnel for their service. They plan on taking Jordan's gratitude tour to every law enforcement agency in the San Gabriel Valley and we thank them for including us in their efforts. We also thank Jordan for his support and motivation!

Jordan, you are an inspiration to us all and you're welcome back to IPD anytime!

You can learn more about Jordan and his adventures by following him on his Instagram account at @ThankYouForServiceWalk.
