May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month

Summer means an increased number of vehicles traveling on Irwindale’s roadways. It also means an increased number of motorcyclists enjoying the nice weather.

This serves as a timely reminder about the importance of motorcycle safety awareness, for motorcyclists and motorists alike.

By recognizing May as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, the Irwindale Police Department emphasizes safe riding and driving habits for everyone.

Motorcyclists who are responsible, informed, and properly equipped can help reduce rider deaths and injuries. Motorists are also key in reducing motorcycle related crashes by being aware of the dangers and challenges of motorcycle riding.
