Community-Info-Banner_new

During the week of September 6th, the Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) will conduct a mapping project in the San Gabriel Valley area; including over the cities of IRWINDALE, BRADBURY AND DUARTE (see attached map).

This project involves documenting the area from the air using helicopters flying at a low altitude of 500 feet, which is within normal FAA flight operations regulations.

• The flights are expected to be the week of September 6th weather permitting.

• The helicopter will be going back and forth in a back-and-forth “lawnmower” pattern at about 500 ft.

• Hours of operation will be from 8am to 5pm.

• These flights are a portion a larger program to map any emissions over the many cities and unincorporated areas served by SoCalGas.

If you have any questions regarding the helicopter activity, please call the SoCalGas Customer Contact Center at 1-800-427-2200.  Company representatives are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
