Commuters traveling northbound on the 605 freeway through the city of Irwindale will pass a newly unveiled billboard advertising the police department's #PinkPatchProject.
The billboard is located on the west side of the freeway near the Live Oak Avenue off-ramp where thousands of cars will pass by the sign on a daily basis.
The billboard features an image of our pink patch, along with the project's web site address (www.pinkpatchproject.com) and the department's name, all in bright pink letters against a stark black background.
The billboard invites travelers to visit our web site, where they can purchase pink patches and t-shirts, donate to the program or learn more about breast cancer awareness.
The billboard space was donated to the city of Irwindale by Clear Channel Outdoor. The billboard's design was developed by a team from the police department and it was fabricated by Clear Channel staff.
The partnership between the city of Irwindale, the police department and Clear Channel Outdoor is another example of community partnerships coming together to support the fight against breast cancer.
Next time you're traveling through the city, take the time to check out our billboard!
